Music for a Darkened Theatre

Danny Elfman
Danny Elfman has become a premier soundtrack composer by emphasizing the things that make him a liability within the constricted framework of Oingo Boingo: originality, unpredictability and humor. His film scores have captured the quirky charateristics required for such movies as Batman and Dick Tracy, and served as perfect foundations in Beetlejuice, Darkman and Pee Wee's Big Adventure. All these, plus a handful of tunes culled from television shows, are contained on thid 17-track anthology highlighting Elfman's best (or in some cases best known) works. The package is a good representation of America's hottest film and television music writer.
