Unhappy with the initial score composed by Alan Silvestri (Forrest Gump, Grumpy Old Men) for Mission:Impossible, producer-star Tom Cruise has fired the composer and replaced him with Danny Elfman, the former Oingo Boingo lead singer who went on to compose the scores for the first two Batman movies, Nightmare Before Christmas, To Die For, and TV's "The Simpsons".
